There is much to see and do in Edom “Where Art Comes to Life!”

Located in Van Zandt County approximately 90 miles east of Dallas, Edom is tagged as a ‘quaint and quirky’ artist community.  Established in the 1880’s as an agricultural hub, the town transformed into an artist’s colony in the 1970’s.  Today the majority of Edom’s 375 residents are artists - writers, musicians, actors, painters, potters, photographers, weavers, metal and fiber artisans.

With venues primarily open Thursday through Sunday, the town’s creative energy is showcased through working artists, gallery shows, classes and workshops, and numerous special events.  Parking is conveniently located streetside at the galleries and working studios where over 50 artists are represented.
