The translucent properties of Lianne Thompson’s work is achieved by using alcohol ink. Due to the translucent nature of the ink, it can only be used on non-porous substrates like tile, glass, metal and synthetic paper (Yupo). Layering the ink results in depth and vibrancy. Each piece is unique. The florals and seascapes lend themselves to this process with dramatic results. She uses many grounds, such as the ones listed above and coasters, charms, and magnets. Prices are $5 to $1200.
