Situated 16 miles southeast of Canton and 15 miles northwest of Tyler in Van Zandt County, Edom is the third oldest city in the county. Our small town of just over 300 people features one downtown main street and one stoplight. Renowned for goat and cattle dairies, farms and bed and breakfast inns, Edom is the perfect picturesque town for anyone who wants to enjoy true Southern hospitality.
Every year, Edom is the place to be for our festivals, artistic events and other happenings that make the town come alive.
Edom Festival of the Arts started in 1972, initially as an invitation only event. Eventually, the festival was opened to artists all over the country and today features live music, a free children’s art workshop and a variety of foods.
April in Edom is an antique street fair featuring vendors from all over Texas, selling a variety of heirloom and handmade items. Sponsored by the Edom Chamber of Commerce, April in Edom also features food, music, children’s activities and a pet parade.
